MURMUR — PRIVACY POLICY

 MURMUR — PRIVACY POLICY

Effective date: 5 September 2026

Developer: Calamary Game ("we", "us")

Contact: burhankarakurt3@gmail.com

Murmur is a relaxing idle game about guiding a swarm. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Murmur app for iOS and Android (bundle / package id com.calamarygame.murmur).

The short version: Murmur has no accounts, no sign-in, and no chat. We never ask for your name, email, or contact details. Your game progress is stored only on your device. The app uses Google's Firebase for anonymous analytics and crash reports, Google AdMob for optional reward ads, and Apple / Google for in-app purchases. Those services receive limited technical data, described below.

1. Information we do NOT collect

• No account or registration. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or passwords.

• No precise location. The app does not request location permissions.

• No contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or files outside the app's own storage.

• No payment card details. Payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your card number.

• No user-generated content or messaging.

2. Information processed by the app and third-party services

2.1 Game progress (stored on your device only)

Your swarm, seasons, hive upgrades, unlocked cosmetics, settings, and similar progress are saved in a file inside the app's private storage on your device. This data is not uploaded to us or to any server. If you delete the app, your progress is deleted with it. There is no cloud save or cross-device sync in this version.

2.2 Analytics (Google Firebase Analytics)

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is played so we can improve balance, tutorials, and performance. Firebase collects:

• A randomly generated app instance ID (not linked to your name or account).

• Device and app information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, screen size, and an approximate region derived from IP address (the IP address itself is not stored by Firebase Analytics).

• Gameplay events such as tutorial steps completed, seasons played, phases reached, hive purchases, migrations, ads offered or watched, and store screens opened.

• Purchase events (product ID, price, currency, and the store transaction ID) so we can measure which content players value.

• Player segments as "user properties": whether the Founder Pack is owned, current biome, number of migrations, a bucket of seasons played, hive level, best phase, language, and sound setting.

Analytics data is aggregated and cannot reasonably be used by us to identify you. Google may collect an advertising identifier where permitted by your consent settings (see Section 3). Firebase Analytics: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

2.3 Crash reports (Google Firebase Crashlytics)

If the app crashes, Crashlytics sends a report containing the crash stack trace, device model, OS version, app version, available memory and storage, and a Crashlytics installation ID. This helps us fix bugs. Reports do not include your game save or any personal identifiers we control.

2.4 Advertising (Google AdMob)

Murmur shows only optional rewarded ads. An ad is offered at the end of a season; you can decline it, and you never have to watch an ad to play. If you choose to watch one, Google AdMob and its partners may process:

• Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), only if you allowed tracking (see Section 3).

• IP address, device and OS information, app identifier, and general ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, reward earned).

Depending on your choices and region, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Google's advertising privacy information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads · Partners used by Google: https://support.google.com/admob/answer/9012903

Owners of the Founder Pack are not offered ads.

2.5 In-app purchases (Apple App Store / Google Play)

All purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies. We receive a confirmation of the purchase (product ID, transaction ID, and signed purchase data) so the app can unlock the content, and we log an anonymous purchase event in analytics. We do not receive your payment method or billing address.

• Google Play: https://policies.google.com/privacy

3. Your choices and controls

• iOS – App Tracking Transparency. On first use the app asks whether it may track you across apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the advertising identifier is not shared and ads are non-personalized. You can change this any time in *Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking*.

• Android – Advertising ID. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in *Settings → Google → Ads* (or *Settings → Privacy → Ads*). Deleting it results in non-personalized ads.

• EEA, UK, and Switzerland – consent form. Before ads load, a consent message (Google User Messaging Platform) lets you accept or refuse personalized advertising and related purposes. You can change your choice from the *Privacy* row in the in-game Settings screen, where available.

• US state privacy laws. Where required, the consent form also lets you opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising.

• Analytics. Uninstalling the app stops all analytics collection. If you want us to request deletion of analytics data tied to your app instance, contact us (see Section 10); note that we cannot identify you without the app instance ID, which is available in device-level diagnostics only.

• Delete your game data. Delete the app from your device. There is no server copy.

4. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

• Analytics and crash reporting: our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the game, or your consent where the law requires it.

• Personalized advertising and use of the advertising identifier: your consent, collected through the consent form and, on iOS, App Tracking Transparency.

• Purchases: performance of a contract (delivering the content you bought) and legal obligations (tax and accounting).

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers named in Section 2 (Google Firebase, Google AdMob and its advertising partners, Apple, and Google Play), each acting under their own privacy policies and, where applicable, as our processor. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. International transfers

Google and Apple may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. These providers rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

7. Data retention

• Game progress: stays on your device until you delete the app or reset progress in-game.

• Firebase Analytics: user-level data is retained for for a limited period set in our analytics settings; aggregated reports may be kept longer.

• Crashlytics: crash reports are retained for 90 days.

• AdMob: retained according to Google's advertising data retention policies.

• Purchase records: retained by Apple / Google, and in our analytics as anonymous events, as long as necessary for accounting and tax obligations.

8. Children

Murmur is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country, for example 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it. The app is not enrolled in any children's program and does not use child-directed ad settings; if you are a parent, please use the device-level parental controls offered by Apple and Google.

9. Security

Game data lives inside the app's sandboxed storage protected by your device's operating system. Data sent to Google and Apple is transmitted over encrypted (TLS) connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what is collected in the first place so there is little to lose.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because we hold no account data, most requests are satisfied by deleting the app and resetting your advertising identifier. For anything else, email us at burhankarakurt3@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

California residents: we do not sell personal information. Sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising can be opted out of as described in Section 3.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game evolves (for example if we add cloud saves or new services). The effective date at the top will change and, for material changes, the app or store listing will notify you. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
